MY STORY
As long as I remember I was a regular in the dentist's chair.
A man with yellow and crooked teeth prodded around in my mouth and told me I had cavities because I ate too many sweets, and because my teeth were too close together, so food was getting stuck back there. I went to another dentist who laughed and told me that was ridiculous.
So who was right?
Looking back, I can see that it wasn’t just caused by my adolescent diet of candy and and bread, but also the critical nutrients I was not getting, which expressed themselves as a craving for sugar, salt and vinegar, and the lifestyle I was living that was attacking my teeth and overall health & happiness.
In my early twenties, I was living alone in the states and no longer had access to affordable dental care,
so I did what most people would do...I went without.
At 23 I was making some shifts in my diet trying to be healthier and guess what?
It actually backfired.
Yes, I made some very simple mistakes for my body type that actually ended up messing up my dental health to the point where I was in more pain than I'd ever experienced in my life.
I would just move the wrong way and I'd end up writhing around on the floor, The craziest thing through all of this was that I had no idea that my diet and lifestyle were linked to my teeth. I was so trained to believe what dentists were telling me that I didn't even think to ask why.
I dreaded the dentists, but that's not why I hadn't been going. Even with insurance, dental was never covered,
and living paycheck to paycheck in my early 20s meant that I couldn't afford a trip to the dentist, let alone the major work I knew I needed.
When I finally couldn't take the pain anymore, and one of my molars actually crumbled out of my mouth as I was eating a soft piece of bread, I broke down and told my dad who got me into a dentist that week. He sympathized with my pain as he too had had a mouth full of cavities. I figured it must've been hereditary.
When I finally sat in that chair, got ex-rayed, poked and prodded, the dentist hit me with a whopper:
Fixing my teeth was going to take $24,000
I was floored. Not only did I not have anywhere close to that money, I also could not understand why, at 24 years old, my body was falling apart. I thought I was healthy! I ate a vegan diet full of organic fruit and vegetables, brushed, flossed and used mouthwash twice a day.
What was wrong with me?
The kicker was, the dentist couldn't tell me, and he also made no guarantees that if I paid the money and got the work done, that I wouldn't need more work in the future.
I just didn't get it.
Thankfully for me (and now you!) I had a guardian angel.
Not in the winged ethereal sense, but in a very real sense. I had developed a friendship with a woman in her 70's who was the first person who enlightened me to the fact hat your teeth can heal just like your bones. Desperate to avoid $24,000 worth of work, I jumped in. The world of alternative health turned out to be a vast pool with both many truths and many pitfalls. I tried everything that was suggested to me, joined various meetings that felt more like secret gatherings and spent countless hours reading and researching.
One thing that I quickly noticed, was that I was one of the only people under 50 engaging in these conversations.
It was strange, but I felt like I was onto something.
It paid off because within two months I started to notice a shift.
My teeth stopped aching and became brighter. The sensitivity in my gums disappeared and they no longer bled when I was flossing. Side benefits? And the greatest achievement of all?
I never had to have that scheduled work...even on my crumbled tooth!.

Was I an alien?
Determined to understand why I had miraculous results but others were not, I went deeper and deeper into this work.

In 2016 I finally found the answer.
I'd started studying health coaching at the Health Coach Institute and it was here I finally learned the crucial element that modern science and dentistry does not share with us:
There is no one-size-fits all healing protocol.
Not vegan, not keto, not paleo, atkins, macrobiotics, low carb and especially not the Master Cleanse (especially stay away from this one if you're trying to heal your teeth)
Why?
Because you are not a one-size-fits-all human.
You have a different biology, circumstances and personality from me and thus different needs, wants and sensitivities.
We may have similar needs, but we have different ways we need to get them met.
